The working principle of a concrete brick machine is mainly to put concrete materials into the machine and then process them into bricks through pressure. During the pressing process, the machine will apply enough pressure to make the concrete materials tightly combined to form bricks with a certain strength and density.
The workflow of a concrete brick machine is a systematic process involving multiple links such as preparation, mixing, molding, and curing of raw materials. Smat Machine will introduce you to the detailed process of making bricks with a concrete brick making machine.

Material preparation
Concrete brick machines usually use concrete as raw materials, which may include cement, aggregates (sand, stone, etc.), water, and admixtures added as needed. These raw materials need to be proportioned in a certain proportion to ensure that the performance of the concrete meets the strength and durability requirements of the bricks.
Cement: It is the main cementitious material of concrete, and commonly used ones are ordinary Portland cement, slag Portland cement, etc.
Sand and gravel: As aggregates, the quality of sand and gravel directly affects the density and strength of bricks. Sand and gravel need to be screened to remove impurities and oversized particles.
Fly ash: It is a commonly used active mixed material that can improve the workability of concrete, reduce the amount of cement, and improve the durability of bricks.
Admixtures: Added as needed, for example, water reducers can reduce water consumption and improve the strength of concrete; retarders can delay the setting time of cement for easy construction.
Water: It is used to adjust the fluidity and workability of concrete, but the amount of water used must be strictly controlled to avoid reducing the strength of bricks.

Material transportation
The concrete brick machine adopts a closed belt conveyor system to strictly control the amount of small semi-storage materials, so that it can be used as soon as it is delivered, to prevent the concrete from liquefying prematurely due to aftershocks, and to ensure the strength of the product.
Mixing is a key link in the production process of concrete bricks machine. Its purpose is to fully mix various raw materials to form a uniform concrete mixture.
Mixing equipment: Usually a forced cement mixer is used. This mixer can quickly and evenly mix concrete to ensure that all components are fully mixed.
Dry material premixing: First, add dry materials such as cement, sand, and fly ash into the mixer for preliminary mixing to fully mix the dry materials.
Add water and mix: After the dry materials are premixed evenly, add an appropriate amount of water according to the predetermined water-cement ratio and continue to mix. The mixing time is generally 1-3 minutes, depending on the type of mixer and the mix ratio of concrete.
Addition of admixtures: If admixtures are used, they must be added evenly during the mixing process and continue to mix to ensure that the admixtures are fully dispersed.
Mixing quality control: After mixing, the concrete should have good workability and no segregation. By observing the fluidity and cohesion of the concrete, the mixing quality can be preliminarily judged.
The mixed concrete mixture is transported to the forming mold and formed by vibration and pressing.

Distribution device: The function of the distribution device is to evenly distribute the concrete into the mold. Common distribution methods include forced distribution and flexible distribution.
Forced distribution: The distribution device is driven by the hydraulic system to force the concrete into the mold. This method has a fast distribution speed, but requires high fluidity of the concrete.
Flexible distribution: The distribution device is driven by a cylinder or a hydraulic cylinder, and the concrete is evenly spread through a flexible connection. This method is more uniform and suitable for concrete with poor fluidity.
Vibration: Vibration is an important part of concrete forming. Vibration can expel the air in the concrete and make the concrete more compact. Vibration methods include low-frequency vibration and high-frequency vibration.
Low-frequency vibration: Mainly used for the initial compaction of concrete, so that the concrete can evenly fill every corner of the mold.
High-frequency vibration: Used for the final compaction of concrete to ensure the density and strength of concrete.
Pressing: While vibrating, the concrete is pressed by the hydraulic system to further compact the concrete and form it into bricks. The size of the pressing pressure depends on the specifications and strength requirements of the bricks.
Mould replacement: The mould of the concrete brick machine can be replaced as needed to produce bricks of different shapes and specifications, such as standard bricks, hollow bricks, porous bricks, colored pavement bricks, etc.
Demoulding: When the concrete bricks are formed in the mold and reach a certain strength, the mold will open and the bricks will be pushed out through the demoulding system.
Output: The demoulded bricks will be transported to the output system, usually by conveyor belts or automatic conveying devices, for subsequent maintenance and processing.
