How does a concrete self-loader work?

The working principle of a concrete dump truck can be divided into the following steps:

1. Mixing concrete

The concrete dump truck drives to the concrete mixing station and loads the concrete raw materials into the mixing tank. Start the engine to drive the mixing tank to rotate, and start the water pump at the same time to add an appropriate amount of water. The mixing blades in the mixing tank fully mix the concrete raw materials to make them evenly mixed.

2. Transporting concrete

After the concrete is mixed evenly, the concrete dump truck can start driving. During the driving process, the concrete in the mixing tank is constantly stirred by the mixing blades to maintain its uniformity and fluidity. Concrete dump trucks generally use hydraulic transmission, and the speed and steering angle can be adjusted as needed.

3. Unloading

After the concrete dump truck arrives at the unloading point, it parks the car at the unloading position and unloads the concrete by controlling the unloading system. When unloading, first start the unloading motor, extend the cylinder outward, and align the unloading port with the unloading position. Then start the unloading motor to unload the concrete to the designated position.

4. Cleaning

Concrete dump trucks need to be cleaned after unloading to prevent concrete residue from damaging the vehicle. When cleaning, the remaining concrete in the mixing tank needs to be rinsed clean with water, and the cleaning water needs to be discharged to a designated location to avoid pollution to the environment.

1. Chassis

The unloading system is the discharging part of the concrete dump truck, mainly composed of the unloading port, unloading barrel, unloading motor, cylinder body, etc. The unloading port is located at the bottom of the mixing tank, and the movement of the unloading motor and cylinder body is controlled electrically or hydraulically to realize the unloading of concrete. The performance and stability of the unloading system directly affect the unloading efficiency and quality of concrete.

4. Water system

The water system is an auxiliary part of the concrete dump truck, mainly composed of a water tank, a water pump, a water pipe, a spray device, etc. The main function of the water system is to add an appropriate amount of water during the concrete mixing process to ensure the fluidity and consistency of the concrete.
