A mining crusher, also known as a mining crusher, is a crushing device specially designed for use in mining, smelting, building materials, roads, railways, water conservancy and chemical industries. A mining crusher is an indispensable equipment in mining and mineral processing. The main function of a mining crusher is to crush large pieces of ore or other materials into smaller particles. The crusher uses different crushing principles and mechanical structures to achieve operations such as squeezing, shearing, impacting and grinding of ore to meet subsequent processing or use requirements.

There are many types of mining crushers, and each type has its specific application scenarios.
Main types of mining crushers
The design of the jaw crusher is inspired by the movement of the two jaws of animals. This design enables the crusher to crush materials efficiently, so it is called a jaw crusher, also known as a jaw crusher or a tiger’s mouth. The jaw crusher uses the periodic movement between the moving jaw plate and the fixed jaw plate to crush the material through extrusion, shearing and bending. When the two jaw plates are close, the material is crushed; when the two jaw plates leave, the material blocks smaller than the discharge port are discharged from the bottom. The jaw crusher has the characteristics of simple structure, reliable operation, easy maintenance and large crushing ratio.

It is suitable for mining, metallurgy, building materials, highways, railways, water conservancy and chemical industries, and is mainly used for the coarse crushing of various ores and rocks with a compressive strength not exceeding 320 MPa.
The name of the impact crusher comes from its unique working principle, which is to crush the material by the principle of impact crushing. When the impact crusher is working, the material falls into the machine from the feed port and enters the rotating range of the plate hammer connected to the rotor. After being impacted by the plate hammer running at a higher speed, it is thrown at high speed along the tangent direction of the plate hammer rotation to the impact plate of the upper support of the machine body to produce an impact, and then returns from the impact plate to the plate hammer rotating nest to continue to repeat the above process.

After the material is repeatedly impacted by the plate hammer and the impact plate and hits each other in the crushing chamber, the internal structure is broken and loosened and broken. The material that is broken into small particles is forced to be discharged in the gap between the plate hammer and the impact plate to become the crushed product.
The impact crusher has the characteristics of large crushing ratio, high production capacity, uniform product particle size, and small discharge particle size. It is widely used in many fields such as mining, metallurgy, chemical industry, building materials and hydropower, and is particularly suitable for material processing that requires frequent relocation operations, such as fixed or mobile stone operations in highways, railways, and hydropower projects.
The structure of cone crusher mainly consists of frame, horizontal shaft, moving cone, balance wheel, eccentric sleeve, upper crushing wall (fixed cone), lower crushing wall (moving cone), hydraulic coupling, lubrication system, hydraulic system and other parts. Its notable feature is that it has a conical crushing chamber, which consists of moving cone and static cone. The material is crushed by extrusion and impact in the conical crushing chamber.
The working principle of cone crusher is that the motor drives the eccentric sleeve to rotate through the transmission device, and the moving cone rotates and swings under the force of the eccentric sleeve. The section where the moving cone is close to the static cone becomes the crushing chamber, and the material is crushed by multiple extrusions and impacts of the moving cone and the static cone. When the moving cone leaves this section, the material that has been crushed to the required particle size falls under the action of its own gravity and is discharged from the bottom of the cone. Because the shape of the crushing chamber is conical, it is named cone crusher.

The crushing chamber of the cone crusher is conical, and the material is crushed in the conical crushing chamber, hence the name “cone crusher”.
The cone crusher has large crushing force, high efficiency, low operating cost and convenient adjustment. It can be well applied to medium and fine crushing of various ores and rocks, especially for high hardness ores such as iron ore, copper ore, granite, etc.
The hammer crusher is equipped with multiple hammers inside. These hammers generate impact force by high-speed rotation to crush the materials. This working principle of using hammers to crush is the key to the name of the hammer crusher.

Hammer crushers have the characteristics of large crushing ratio, high production capacity, and uniform product particle size. They are mainly used for fine crushing of limestone, coal or other brittle materials with medium hardness or below in industrial sectors such as metallurgy, building materials, chemicals, and hydropower. .
Roller crusher is also called double-roll crusher. The core component is one or more pairs of rollers rotating in opposite directions. These rollers crush the materials through the extrusion and shear force generated by rotation. According to the different surfaces of the rollers, roller crushers can be divided into flat roller type, toothed roller type, etc. Flat roller crushers mainly play the role of extrusion and grinding on materials, while toothed roller crushers play the role of splitting and tearing on materials. Common roller crusher models include 2PG, 4PGG, etc., where “2” and “4” represent the number of rollers, and “PG” means roller. In addition, the model number will also include numbers indicating the length and diameter of the roller, such as “1000×800” means that the length of the roller is 1000mm and the diameter is 800mm.

Roller crushers have the characteristics of compact structure, light weight and small size. They are suitable for medium and fine crushing of materials with medium hardness, such as limestone, slag, coke, coal and other materials in industrial sectors such as cement, chemical, electric power, metallurgy, building materials, and refractory materials.
