The rotor of the reversible hammer crusher first rotates in a certain direction to crush the material. The liner, screen plate and hammer end in that direction are worn. After being worn to a certain extent, the rotor is rotated in the opposite direction. At this time, the crusher uses the other end of the hammer and the liner and screen plate on the other side to work, so that the continuous working life can be almost doubled.
The rotor of the single-rotor irreversible hammer crusher can only rotate in one direction. When the end of the hammer is worn to a certain extent, it is necessary to stop the machine and change the direction of the hammer (turn 180) or replace a new hammer.

The casing of the single-rotor hammer crusher consists of two parts, upper and lower, which are welded with steel plates respectively, and the parts are connected into one with bolts. The liner is made of high manganese steel and can be replaced after being worn. In order to facilitate maintenance, adjustment and replacement of screen bars, inspection holes are opened on the front and back sides of the casing. In order to facilitate the replacement of hammers, inspection holes are also opened on both side walls of the casing.
The main shaft of the Smat Machine crusher is equipped with several rows of discs. There are two rows of pin holes on the rotor disc. When the end of the hammer is worn, the pin can be inserted into the outer ring hole to adjust the gap between the hammer and the screen bar. The hammer is hinged between the rows of discs with a pin. In order to prevent the axial movement of the disc and the hammer, the disc is fixed with a clamping hammer disc and a pin nut at both ends. The two ends of the rotor are supported on rolling bearings, and the bearings are fixed to the casing with bolts. The main shaft is directly connected to the motor with an elastic coupling. In order to make the rotor run smoothly, a flywheel is installed at the other end of the main shaft.
The working principle of a hammer crusher is based on the crushing of materials by the impact of a high-speed rotating hammer. The main component is a rotor with a hammer (also called a hammer head). The rotor consists of a main shaft, a disc, a pin shaft and a hammer. The motor drives the rotor to rotate at high speed in the crushing chamber. The material is fed into the machine from the upper feed port and is crushed by the impact, impact, shearing and grinding of the high-speed moving hammer.
At the bottom of the hammer crusher rotor, a screen plate is provided. The particles smaller than the size of the screen hole in the crushed material are discharged through the screen plate, and the coarse particles larger than the size of the screen hole remain on the screen plate.

The following is a detailed description of hammer crusher working principle:
The motor of the hammer crusher drives the rotor to rotate at high speed through a transmission device (such as a V-belt or a large pulley).
When the rotor rotates at high speed, the hammer head installed on the rotor also rotates at high speed. The material to be crushed is evenly fed into the crushing chamber of the crusher through the feeding device. When the material enters the crushing chamber, it will be impacted by the high-speed rotating hammer, and this strong impact force will cause the material to be crushed for the first time.
After being impacted by the hammer, the material will gain a certain amount of kinetic energy and hit the impact plate (also called the crushing plate) inside the crusher at high speed or collide with other materials. These collisions will further crush the material until its particle size is reduced.
As the crushing process proceeds, the material gradually moves to the lower part of the crushing chamber. When the particle size of the material is smaller than the gap between the hammer and the impact plate, the material will leave the crushing chamber under the action of its own weight and be discharged through the lower hopper.
The crushed material is screened by the screening equipment to separate qualified products that meet the particle size requirements. For materials that do not meet the particle size requirements, they can be returned to the crusher for re-crushing. At the same time, users can control the particle size of the discharge by adjusting the gap size of the crusher’s discharge port
